Chippewa County Historical Society
The Chippewa County Historical Society charges for research requests. To begin your request, please send a check or money order for $15.00 PLUS a self-addressed-stamped envelope to the Chippewa County Historical Society, PO Box 303, Montevideo, MN 56265. This amount will cover the first hour of your research request. Time spent over the initial hour will be billed at $15.00 per hour plus photocopy costs. Please include as much information as you have available to assist us in locating the correct person, as well as the type of information that you are looking for. CCHS has a wide variety of history books which have been indexed, a searchable data base which includes tens of thousands of photographs and negatives, searchable cemetery records, etc. For additional information contact ChippewaHistory@qwestoffice.net.
